Post 5 - An expert in my field

Hello everyone! Today I'm going to talk about an expert in my field.

One person that I admire in the audiovisual industry is María Paz González. She is a chilean director and scriptwriter. She was born in Temuco and before starting her path as a filmmaker she studied journalism here at the Universidad de Chile. After that, she specialized in filmmaking and documentary writing.

Her first feauture film was "Hija", which is a documentary that about the relationship between mother and daugther, actually the great thing is that this story is starred by her and her mother, where themes such as bonds, the search for truth and identify are explored in a road trip made by both of them. Other of her films are the documentary "El viaje espacial" and Lina de Lima, which is her first fiction production.

Personally, I think it's really incredible the way she can make different types of films, such as fiction and documentary. I think she is a clear example that as future filmmakers we can explore between both formats, I mean, there is not only one way to tell story.

I'm very happy to study this career because thanks to this I have been able to meet female professors who make films, such as María Paz, who is currently teaching me in taller de ficción.

New challenges of education

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to talk about the new challenges of education.

Well, one thing that I miss from high school is that I had fewer responsibilities, I mean, when you are a teenager you enjoy the day to day without worries, but when you are in the university everything changes because you realize that yout future depends of you.

In the future, I think that when I finish stuying cinema ant tv I would like to be able to work in the audiovisual industry. 

Honestly, one thing that I like about the university is the possibility of meeting different people from various careers, but on the other hand, something that I don't like is the high academic load, which sometimes generates a lot of stress.

Finally, I believe it's difficult to make a decision about our future, as it's to decide on a professional career at such a young age because no one prepares you for this new stage, but I think the only important thing is to do what really makes us happy.

Post 4 - Topic A

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to talk about my favorite meal.

Well, I must recognize that my favorite dish is the paste or rather the noodles. I think is a delicious meal and at the same time can be very versatile regarding its ways of eating, for example can be eaten with tomato sauce, white sauce, with vegetables, with chicken, with meat, with vegetarian meat, with pesto sauce and many other ways. In my case por example, I don't usually eat paste with meat or chicken, but I really enjoy the other forms. 

Generally, the ingredients to cook home-made paste are: wheat fluor, egss, salt and water, but also there is the option of instant noodles, which is in fact a good decision in the case there is not much time to cooking or if you are not a fan of cooking. Actually, both forms are valid and respectable. 

Honestly, I think that the paste is great, but eating it in excess is not healthy because our bodies needs more functional foods, not only carbohydrates.

Gender roles and stereotypes

Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to talk about gender roles in the society.

When I was kid I went to a mixed gender school and also then in the high school. I think that was a right decision for part of my parents because honestly I believe that the single sex-schools generate more stereotypes instead of being a help for the society, an explample of this are catholic schools, where predomine a religious ideology and specific rules are imposed for girls and boys. 

Today, I think that although the society has chaged some aspects, still needs to be improved further because is impossible that the wage gap remains a reality, I mean, is unfair that a woman receive a low salary, while a man receive a high salary and both do the same job. 

In my opinion, I hope that the future generations can be more conscientious and gender equality can exist.

Sometimes I think that if I had the possibility to change my sex, I wouldn't because there is a commintment with a fight about famele gender that I feel part of, I mean, there are still things to change.

Post 3 - My favorite piece of technology

 Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to talk about my favorite piece of technology.

While it is true that with the new digital era there are many technological objects, we use them more and more. 

I must recognize that recently the computer is the object I use the most because I can watch series and movies, do my homework, meet virtually with my friends and edit my audiovisual proyects in Adobe Premiere for the university.

Honestly, one of the negative consequences is damages the eyesight and also can cause bad back posture.

I think I recommend the computer, but as long as its use is not extremely excessive because technology can be a big help, but also can be very problematic and harmful for us and our lives.

Finally, I can say that to have a good relationship with the technology in general, we must learn to divide and prioritize our times, I mean we can enjoy, but with responsability and conscience.

Important days and dates

 Hi everyone!

Today I'm going to talk about one of my favorite celebrations around the world.

In this oportunity, I chose the Balloon Festival in Taunnggyi, Myanmar. This event is celebrated during the previous week to the full moon in November, which consists of a typical fair with atractions, food stands and craft stands. But nevertheless, the most distinguishing fact of this celebration is the hot air balloon contest, that have hand painted decorations and candles inside. These balloons are huge and exists a big variety of forms and colors, that are launched at night.

Certainly, one of the most important traditions of this festival is community work because people meet in groups to create their balloons.

In my opinion, I think this event is very visually attractive and has a lot of happy vibes.  

Post 2 - Why did you choose this career?

 Hello everyone!

Today I´m going to talk about my academic decisions.

Honestly, when I was child I usually played with my kitchen toys, medical toys and also sometimes I like to design clothes for my barbies, but I can´t remember with precision if I had a dream job at that moment.

After the PDT, when were the postulations, one of my other career options was history pedagogy because the history is something that interests me and I thought it was great to be able to teach it, but my first option always was cinema and tv because I really love movies and I like all the develpment that exists to generate audiovisual pieces.

For the moment I can say that my experience at the university is good because there are dynamic classes, there are good teachers and the partners are friendly. 

Honestly, I'm not sure if in a few years I will be working inside the audiovisual world, because it's too early to think about it...
